This is for a private commission in Florida. Installing it the last week of February. The frames were shipped ahead of time and I’m going to stretch and mount the denim panels on-site. This installed photo is real artwork on a simulated wall, for now. I’ll take a final pic once I get over there.

Uncommon Objects is a pedestrian-eye’s view of the surreal rabbit and it’s electric-lassoed rider that live above the store’s front door. To me, this store is quintessentially Austin. Funky, unique and richly interesting. If you haven’t been there – you really need to check out the store at 1512 South Congress.

Cesar Chavez has been great. I would not be where I am right now if it wasn’t for the success at this year’s E.A.S.T. But, the 20 minute drive from home has made anything but long sessions out of the question. Some days I only have 30 minutes to break away – so I’ve decided to move the studio back home.

The old space was too small, so I’m getting out the sledge hammer and moving a couple of walls! We’re lucky that we have this week off from work for the holidays. I am doing what I can to get this done by the weekend so I can get back to my artwork.

It’s been really great interacting with all the people that came through over the first two days. I think I’m going to need to make a giant sign on my studio wall that says, “Yes, it’s really bleach.”
